why I'm telling you this up front

I've been a member for a while now, and it's genuinely changed how I travel — not because it's magic, but because it's saved me real money on trips I was already taking.

But it's not for everyone. If you travel once every few years, the monthly cost might not make sense for you — and that's a completely fine conclusion to reach.
